I can't buy a new home for them just for when we clean the aquarium, and I'm afraid that they will climb out of most things I could use? There are 5 of them.

  1. Get a trash can or something that is tall and/or has a roof to prevent them from climbing out.  Since it isn't their habitat, they don't need it to be perfect.  You could keep them in the bathtub if you stay in the bathroom when you clean their aquarium.

  2. What I do is give them a bath while cleaning their tank.  It's easy.  Take a jar and fill about a centimeter of it with room-tempertature water.  Put your crabs in it while you are cleaning the tank.  Depending on the size of your crab, you may have to put less water in the jar.  If there is too much water, your crab can drown.  When cleaning your crab's tank, make sure your crabs are in your sight.

  3. Put them in a pickle jar. This is perfect. Get a plastic bag and put atleast 10 holes in it. Tighten it on with a rubberband.

  4. just put them in a plastic tub and set them right beside you so you can check on them while your cleaning.they wont be able to climp plastic i dont think.or you could just put a lid on top of the plastic container
