I have to come up with an idea for my sociology class?

The professor calls this section "Making a difference in my community". Students have to come up with something that can benefit others, helping out, making a difference. He said that one student made a difference by getting those blood buses to come to campus so that students would donate blood. In that way that student helped the lives of many people who needed blood donations.. something like that.. Any ideas on things, projects or activities that would help the community???

You can put recycle bins at school, do a can food drive, go to a school and red to the children.

Organize an after school program for younger kids. Find some volunteers who would be "mentors" to kids. You can do art projects, provide homework help. Connect with an elementary school to ask for a class room. Write grants to get money for materials etc.
