I have to create a book titled the ABCs of Australia. Does any one have any ideas?

In geography class, we have to make a children's style book, with a page for each letter, and a hand drawn picture of something that has to do with Australia. Does any one have any ideas, hints, tips, suggestions, or anything of the like?

I would start with Australian animals first, dingo, kangaroo, etc. You could then use unique objects, like boomerang and didgeridoo. You could name the different provinces and illustrate it with a map highlighting the area. You could use landmarks like the Sydney Opera House. I realize you said preschool, but these are just some ideas on where to begin. :)

Well, you could write about foods that are from there, or places that start with the letter of the alphabet however I have another interesting idea.  You could create a cute book about people that live in Australia.  The  names of the charcters would resemble each letter of the alphabet.  For instance, Alice likes to watch music concerts in the Sydney hall; Bob likes to eat vegemite; and so on from there.  Make sure that you learn some interesting facts about Australia though so that you have enough to talk about all the alphabet named characters.

How about if you pick one word for each letter that is particularly Australian. Here is an example.

bindi-eye

noun

You start the book with the map of Australia, and every Region. Identify them by name.

On the pages following the map, use the 26 alphabetical words you selected one word per page. Make sure you find several words to represent each region in the book.

Then show where the word originated on the map and you show pictures of that Region. So the child will get a word, a definition, a region, and information about that region pertaining to the word. In this case, perhaps a picture of the bindi-eye plant. You could also put something unique about each region on the page it is well known for, so Liverpool Range might have a picture of the volcanic plateau.
