got any passions or something you feel strongly about wanting to make a difference? Like, whale slaughtering, the environment, homeless kids? start with what you have an interest in and think you might enjoy; you never know where it may lead. then find an organization that works for those same goals.

do it for the ones you committed the crime against to show u have remorsed for your wrongdoings

You could ask a local public library.  I work at a library and we have community services volunteers help out all the time.

Find a orphanage and do them there, or at a homeless shelter. I know here in Florida, or my area you can do this. And trust me, the after math feelings are GREAT!

You don't say in what country you are... I'm going to assume the USA. You can do your hours at any registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your school or the courts (not sure who assigned you these hours) may accept other volunteering, such as with a public school or at a city, county, state or national park. Check with whomever gave you this service hour requirement for more info.
