I have to do an ethnography for my anthropology class - any ideas?

Question

Preferably, I would like to do something really interesting - meaning, nothing broad like an ethnicity or a gender. It has to relate to one or more of the following topics in anthro:

- Ethnicity/Race - Language / Representation

- Gender/Sexuality - Power Relation

- Kinship - Consumption

- Place-Making - Subculture / Identity

I guess we have to follow a group for 2 weeks and participate with them. Any ideas on groups? And any ideas on field sites?

im assuming this is a college class... do an ethnography on a fraternity/sorority... though you won't be able to see everything that goes on behind closed doors, you can still get a good idea of what goes on. compare/contrast it to your experience as a GDI.
