I have to get 2 of my back teeth(molars) pulled do i have to have them replaced with a bridge or false teeth?

The dentist said i need to have a bridge or fake molars put in there place because why? I dont know...But do i really have to? I have a huge gap in my front bottom teeth anyway so would that make my teeth shift and close my gap? I dont want to put a bridge because i cant afford it its going to cost me $5500.00$ I dont have the money
