Well, I am reading Edith Hamilton's Greek Mythology book, and I need to jot down 88 Greek Gods, and write a brief desciption for each of them. I need a good plan to get this done before eight days. I'm dazed, ad I can't calculate time, and I need other people's insight on a plan.

  1. Go to your local library...they have experts there who will help far beyond what you'll find in answere's here.

  2. get it!

  3. 88 - Wow but definitely doable!

Ok - start with the Pantheon - the 12 main gods and goddesses.  6 Gods - Zeus, Poseidon, Apollo, Ares, Hades and Hephaestus.  Hermes is a bit of an afterthought.  6 goddess - Hera, Demeter, Hestia, Aphrodite, Artemis and Athena.  Do these 13 and now you're down to 75!  Use Wiki for quick reference.

Are you limited to only Gods and Goddesses?  Or can you list Heroes (like Theseus) or Mythological Creatures (Iike the Centaurs)??

Be really methodically - I'd make an excel spreadsheet and number the lines 1 thru 88.  As you read Hamilton - write down the main characters as you go along.  But don't stop to describe them yet.  Pop that 88 out ASAP.  You might be able to do it just using the Chapter or Legend Titles.  Then break them down into groups of 10-12.  How long does your description have to be?  Example - short - Poseidon - the God of the Sea.  Or longer - Poseidon - In Greek mythology, Poseidon  (Latin name was Neptune) was the god of the sea, as well as of horses, and, as "Earth-Shaker," he was also the god of earthquakes.  Symbol - the trident.

You should get the 88 listed out in one evening.  Then, when you start the description process - use a kitchen timer - take a group of 10-12 and see if you can finish all 12 in less than an hour.  Make it a fun challenge.  see if you can get the 88 done by Sunday evening -- read Hamilton as you go along -- DO NOT wait until you are finished reading to start your list Do the List now.  Hope you do well.
