I have to get a "rail replacement bus" - HELP!?

I live in the UK.

I'm getting a train from Portsmouth to Nuneaton tomorrow, but between Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton I have to use a "rail replacement bus". Where will this be? Will I have to go to the bus station? Or will it be outside the train station? I can't find the answer anywhere on the National Rail website. Does anyone here know?

  1. The bus will leave from outside the train station at Birmingham NS and will take you to just outside Nuneaton station. Staff will be around to direct you and there will be signs, etc. telling you where to go.

Buses like this are often used when sections of line are closed at weekends for maintenance. They always go from the nearest bus stop at one station to the nearest bus stop at the other.

  2. You bought a ticket from the rail,   they will have the arrangements made.

  3. Staff will be on hand to direct you and usually there are signs telling you where to go...

  4. It will be outside New Street. There will be plenty of rail staff around to direct you. Don't worry.
