  1. it doesnt really hurt that bad

    dont be scared

it hurts after you go to the orthodontist when you eat

other than that it only hurts if you have a palatel expander, they change your wires, you get them tightened, or you get rubberbands.

and those only hurt for tops 3 days

  2. After you take them off your teeth will look wonderfull!!

Dont pay attention to what your friends say

it only hurts after you get them on for like a week

then you get used to them

  3. if you don't want them now just wait till you are like 20... and then you'll look back and be like wow I'm glad i got braces and wear you retainer but well best of luck and yes they do hurt but the pain is not like unbearable just annoying take a pain killer suck as tylenol, advil, aspirin etc... and it wont hurt as bad and use the wax wear it is bothering you and youll be just fine and if you dont get em youll be wanting em when you are like 20 and then youll get em then instead of getting em now!!! and it is alot harder to deal with when you are like 20 cause their are alot less people around you with em!!! so well hope i helped

  4. Get them!! If  your parents can afford them, your insurance covers them, or whatever reason, just get them!

Pain only lasts the first week, but you'll survive with Tylenol and soft foods. Then after every adjustments it might hurt a little, but the pain will go away in a day or two.

You'll have a beautiful smile, and your friends will be jealous of it.

    Good luck! :]

  5. it only hurts for a week when you first get them, even after that when they tighten them they don't hurt so bad, once you have them for a while it's like they're not even there! so don't worry

  6. Getting them on (actually getting them put on) doesn't hurt. It's the wires.  Just don't worry about it, stay calm and drink cold smoothies ex: jamba juice, milk shakes etc.  The results will make you glad you went through with it. :D  Good Luck!

  7. do your friends have braces themselves?

of course it will hurt but beauty hurts...

once you get through the first night im sure you will do fine. that was the hardest part for me and other than that it took me a while to chew right, but i got it down within a week. just eat soft and liquid foods for the first week.

and for your checkups if your dentist tightens your wires or something like that it will hurt for about a day... no more than that.

overall braces is the best decision i ever made and im glad i got them and i cant wait to take them off to see my new, perfect smile!

  8. my friend got brces jst yesterday lol

and she came to school after she got them

one of mii friends asked if it hurted and she said not at all...

cz we all thought it would have hurt but she said it didnt..

and one  mii other friends who got braces said that the trainer was doing her teeth and he slipped and the glue went down her trought.. and she couldnt eat like for weeks and she sued him but anyway it doesnt hurt unless somthing wrong happenes .....

    dnt be 2 scared :)

  9. if you are under 18 it is your parents choice sorry

  10. It only hurts when they tighten them.

Buy a roda-dent so it is not necessary to floss

  11. Unless your teeth are extremely crooked, it won't hurt that much.  It's not really "pain" but a "tightened, sore feeling".  Usually, if you experience this "pain" it will only last around 3 days to a week for slightly unaligned teeth and at most 2 weeks for extremely crooked teeth.

I suppose this is your parents' decision, and unless your teeth are not in desperate need [even a if it's a slight misalignment, braces are recommended], it should be alright if you don't get braces.

However, after your braces come off, your teeth will look incredibly straighter, and it would be more beautiful.  Also, another good thing is that it is much easier to clean.  If you have an overlapping tooth, the tooth under this overlapping one can prevent you from brushing the below, which could result in cavities.  If your teeth are extremely crooked, and you do not brush and floss daily or carefully, it could result in gingivitis.  I recommend that you get braces.  The process usually doesn't last for more than 3 years [that's at most].  The least amount of time you would probably need braces is around a year.  It'll be worth it in the end.

    Good luck!!

I hope this helped a bit.
