Question:

I have to get in shape in about 25 days for field hockey whats the best way to do this?

ive been trying to run about 2 miles a day but i just cant bring my self to do it. Does anyone know a way to get in shape that may be a little more fun rather than just running and running?

  1. Hey, there are a bunch of things you can do to get in shape for field hockey tryouts. There are so much exercise things you can do for field hockey, because field hockey brings your arms, legs, butt, and other body parts in to it.

    Running is a huge thing In field hockey, as I’m sure you know, and even though you you don't like it you should still do a little. Maybe do it two times a week. And take breaks during it.  

    Other ways to prepare is swimming. Swimming is low impact, cardio, and it gets many parts of your body going. Also biking is good for you legs. One thing I do sometimes is while I’m watching TV I get low, in field hockey position, and when you stand in the stance for a long time, you really feel it. Challenge your self to stay in the stance longer then you did the time before.

    Another thing is just play around with a ball and a stick. Do it as much as you can, make up your own drills, do drills you did in your old leagues. Do the basics, and evaluate your self, see what you need to practice, practice with other people you'll be suprised at how much it does get you in shape and you can really feel it.
