I have to get the balance right in this game: http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465 – Cricket News Update
English pacer Stuart Broad has admitted that while he is fit enough to play, he is treating his ankle sprain with caution.
England are currently playing their second tour match, before they commence a two-match Test series against hosts Sri Lanka on March 26 at the Galle International Stadium, with the second five-day game scheduled for April 3 at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.
The second warm-up match, played against the Sri Lanka Development XI at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo, saw Broad trying out his foot after spraining his left ankle by tipping over a boundary rope during fielding practice.
“I just have to get the balance right in this game - I have to bowl enough to get myself aerobically fit and physically right but not bowl so much that I pull up stiff and sore with three days to go before the Test match,” he said.
The injury had caused him to miss the first tour match, but the 25-year-old proved his fitness in the second match, by claiming 3 for 69, with two wickets having been taken in his first spell. In addition to Broad’s wickets, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ST-Finn-c2566 also grabbed 2, while

“I was bowling at match intensity, I wasn't holding anything back," Broad said about his performance. "It felt okay, though I probably wouldn't say it felt better than okay.”
“I was a little nervous this morning knowing I was going to have to pound through that left foot. But it's pulled up pretty well and if I get some http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gareth-Berg-c1457 on it tonight and rest up hopefully I'll have no side effects,” he added.
