Question:

I have to get up in half an hour...please help quick

i´m 15 and i have to get up around 6:30am for work. i´ll be working 8-9 hrs.

its currently almost 6am and i havent been able to sleep AT ALL tonight, should i try and fall asleep for half an hour, or spend that time drinking caffeine and try and get through the day?

i slept a little last night but i didnt sleep at all the day before that so idk

  1. Ask your mom to pick up Melatonin at the grocery store.  Its over the counter, completely herbal.  Take it about thirty minutes before you want to be asleep, if this doesn't work experiment with other weak sleep aids such as Unisom.


  2. DONT SLEEP, drink a cup of coffee or energy drink (I recommend NOS or Rockstar they are both pretty potent), then try to take a quick cold shower and do a quick workout youll wake up fast

    If you are good at getting yourself up, then I would definitely.

    If you can't, or have even a little bit of a hard time, don't.

    I stay up all night a lot and I do pretty well, but I go to sleep like at 1-2 every night so I guess I'm more "acclimated" to it.

    But Idk, if you decide to stay up, maybe just take an ice bath.  Just force yourself it should wake you up!

  10. definitely don't go to sleep stick it out and drink coffee i know when i was working for mickie d's and i had to get up early i just said s***w it and went to sleep thinking id wake up early enough but i didn't so i was extremely late and lots of people were very pissed lol so stick it out you'll never get up in time good luck

  16. you have your days and night messed up no sleep pull through until bed and caffeine might make it worse when it wears off in the middle of the day...

    If it continues see a doctor for sleeping pills.

  17. Don't fall asleep. Once you do, you will crash and probably sleep for hours. I hope you don't do anything too dangerous at work. If you do, I would consider not going and going to sleep instead.

  18. kinda late now and if u do go to sleep it'll be hard 2 wake up just wash your face and caffeine might be a bad idea cuz you're gonna feel tired later on just eat breakfast and take a bath if u have to.answer mine plz.

  20. Umm lol datz hard!! You wont wake up in time... datz quite hard 2 just wake up we u need to.. maybe ring da boss and make an excuse 2 be @ work late or just maybe make a phonecall and not go at all... i would do dat

  21. I have known the quickest cat naps to help me. Sleep is a natural energy booster. Caffeine will only make you crash. just set an alarm.

    I have been awake for much longer like a week with no sleep and only a few cups of coffee but then i crashed and fell asleep on the floor lol

    anyway just stay up.

    btw I am younger then you I am 13  

  25. just stay up 30 minutes of sleep will only get you more tired a stick the day thourgh and get some sleep after work

  28. in order for you to get up, and statingwhat time it is where you are, the time  index says you have to be in  england...  not many here can help you there.... and 15 and working those long hours at hat time of day??  You can't be in the US or the child labo laws would prevent your employer from hiring you

  29. sleep.  set your alarm and rest for as long as you possibly can - the full 28 minutes... then drink tons of coffee.

  30. dont even try to sleep, you will crash and not wake up.. i always do that lol.. just tuff it out trust me when you get home DO NOT go str8 to bed.. keep your a$$ up until like 9 or 10 and go to bed so that you will sleep a full night rest, if you sleep when you get home you will wake up again and be in this same situation... hope i helped! xoxo

  31. Do not sleep!

    Your body won't get enough rest, so it will want more if you try and sleep.  And therefor you will be asleep on the job!

    I would not recommend caffeine (or cocaine, yes I'm referring to you previous poster) because that will give you a rush, and then you may crash in the middle of work.

    Just take it easy and go slow with work, you will be tired, but that is your fault for not sleeping!  (no offense)
