I have to give a Maid of Honor speech tonight...please help!!!

It is my friend. I have my speech but what should I say in the beginning and end. Like Hi for those of you that dont know me my name is lala and then go on or what. I need the beginning and end. Please help!!

Tell about where you met, how long you've known each other and what being asked means to you. Then let them know how happy you are that they found each other. Then have everyone raise their glasses, say something like, "To Mr. & Mrs. X! May every day be happier than the day before!"

Don't try to be cute and don't try to be funny. Say what you feel from the heart and you'll be fine!

You just need to say something heartfelt. Think of a memorable time that you guys shared together, etc.

Maybe you could say something like:

Hi - for those of you who don't know me my name is Ann and I've been a friend of Marie's for ____. I remember the time that Marie ________ and now her she is getting married. I wish her and (husbands name) all of the happiness and joy in the world. So please raise your glass and toast to a truly wonderful couple!
