I have to go for my hunting safety class. what does the class cover?

what questions + topics does this class cover (in NY)?

Well It has been along time since I took mine if I remember right they show you the saftey of shooting a gun what you can and cannot soot...ummm they cover stuff like degree burns and no drinking alchol while hunting....ummmm don't put your deer on top of car hood show respect for people who dont like hunting(and besides that spoiles the meat)

stuff like that and what to do if you get lost etc etc really easy when I went there were like 6 year olds taking it and passed so just stuff like that all you have to do is pay attention and youll pass

mostly safety and survival tactics. Its easy as long as you pay attention and study.

They will tell you the newest law changes. They will teach gun safety,tree stand safety,go over different kinds of guns (5 actions of guns). You may watch a movie or something. They will also cover shot placement and clean kill purposes. Mostly the basic things. It shouldn't be too hard. Hope this helps.

classes like this generally focus on safe handling of firearms, safe employment of them in the field (don't shoot other hunters), maybe some emphasis on safe use of a blind/stand, and ethical hunting tactics (clean shots).

Mostly, it makes sure that A) You're not evil, stupid, or otherwise an accident waiting to happen, and B) the state can get some more of your money.
