I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and haven't brushed in 2 weeks

what do you recommend i do like brush 5 times today and floss or something. I hate the dentist.

  1. can i ask ergh for not brushing your teeth for that long and like yeah brush them really really well tomorrow plus you only get one set of adult teeth so look after them..

    for someone who hates the dentist so much, i think  you really need one more than most other people.

  3. Alright, at this point, there's not much you can do. Brush, floss, and use mouthwash. Repeat right before the appointment, just to be sure. And in the future, PLEASE just keep up with your dental hygiene! People aren't always as nice to talk to if all you can think about is their breath. Good luck! :-)


  4. You should start flossing twice a day, brush your teeth everytime you eat something and use some strong mouthwash for two weeks.

  5. Brush as much as possible in the time you have left, but there is probably some (or a lot of) decay from not brushing for weeks, and it will not help much. We brush in order to remove all of the food that gets stuck in our teeth, food that would otherwise break down and eat away at your enamel. Not to mention the fact that your breath must be terrible at this point. I genuinely feel sorry for your dentist.

I'm a dental assistant of 2yrs.  I clean a lot of teeth everyday.  There is nothing you can do over night that will make your teeth and gums look healthier.  So if you are going in for a cleaning, and you haven't taken very good care of your mouth, a cleaning may not feel too good. But you have a good dentist doing the cleaning, it shouldn't be that painful. You're gums will bleed and your teeth can be sensitive for awhile.  If you don't want to have to deal with a not so fun cleaning in the future, you can brush 2 times and floss atleast once a day, everyday.  It's a hard habit to get into, but it will keep your teeth healthy for life.  You can't fool us dental people, we know when someone hasn't been taking care of their teeth.  So there's no way of hiding it from your dentist.

    Most people hate going to the dentist.  So if you're nervous, just ask if they have headphones and music or even laughing gas.  Just breathe and try to relax.  But please don't try to scrub your teeth tonight, you'll only cause more pain on yourself and tear up your gums.

    But please do your dentist and the assistant a fav, brush, floss, and use mouth wash before you go in.  There's nothing grossier than cleaning out food between someone's teeth or having to smell bad breath!

    You really need to make a habit of taking care of your teeth because not doing so will make you have to go to the dentist MORE often.

  9. Thats nasty...you need to practice dental hygene and I  feel very sorry for your dentist.

  10. Brush right after you eat, also use mouth wash and floss. You could even use something to pick off the plaque! And then, right before you go to the dentist take your time brushing, then at the office also brush. He might find some plaque but thats normal...so yeah = )
