  1. An Incubator. You can even get eggs at www.Ovabid.com to hatch!

  2. the development of a rabbit it gives your child a pet and your child can chart from growth to when project is due if it is somthing that is due sooner you can take pics of your child planting beans and chart the growth and take care of them then you can take it in and really all u do is take the beans in your cabinet and plant them and water them daily keep a chart  of how many days and how is is developing compaired to the others that is considered an ag project.

  3. a barn with animals

  4. What may be a win-win situation for both you and you son could be growing a herb garden. Although it may sound like a lot of work, many home and garden stores sell kits for fairly cheap that include everything you would need, from the pot to the seeds. I don't know all the details about this project, but if you were able to keep the herbs for your own personal kitchen, this would offset some of the initial cost. It might be a kind of fun project for the two of you to do some weekend. Good luck!

  5. So many ideas and not enough space...

Plant seeds in small containers of various garden plants.  Two of each type.  Once plants have germinated and growing, place one of each type in a dark closet.  Track results over a given period of time, noting germination dates of each, measure growth/height and color.  This will give an example of photosynthesis.

Another idea is to demonstrate erosive characteristics of soil from plant cover and soil types due to rainfall.  Narrow trays with different soil types: clay, dark loamy soil, sand.  Set the trays on a downward slant with a bowl at the bottom of each.  Place water bottles at the top of each tray dripping water at various rates to show the effect of rainwater and how unprotected topsoil erodes into our streams.

  6. egg incubator.  Takes a light bulb and thermometer. and a closed container.  The tough part may be finding fertile eggs.   Check out the library using the search "chicken farming"

  7. a bat house

  8. Try this site for ideas (I got it from the FFA): http://www.fl-ag.com/PlanetAg/

  9. you you mean build and not grow--- you could do a quick compost bin :)

  10. A good project for your son would be Vermiculture or earthworm compost processing.

Recycling the organic waste of a household into compost allows us to return badly needed organic matter to the soil. In this way, we participate in nature's cycle, and cut down on garbage going into landfills. Worm composting is a method for recycling food waste into a rich, dark, earth-smelling soil conditioner. The great advantage of worm composting is that this can be done indoors and outdoors, thus allowing year round composting.  Worm compost is made in a container filled with moistened bedding and red worms. Add your food waste for a period of time, and the worms and micro-organisms will eventually convert the entire contents into rich compost.

If the great compost is not enough of a reward for you, you may be able to make a little cash by selling earthworms as fishing bait or to others wanting to start composting.  Good Luck.

Here is a web sites to read to get started.

  11. feed scoop out of detergent bottle

  12. "build"?

Agriculture is about "growing" not "building".   Maybe planting different crop plants of the same type and raising them differently to see which is most effective?

e.g.  If you have a yard make a garden.  Plant 2 or more rows of tomatoes.   Give plant food to one row but not the other or vary the way you water them.   See which one grows faster and produces more tomatos.

  13. seed tape. Put cheap seed - even bird seed at set distances in the tape to help space out the seeds at a set distance then bury the tape

  14. Agriculture project... Plants can be grow in jiffy tablets,  Expandable soil tablets.  Altering the Water conditions for watering seeds the growth rate of a plant can be altered.

For example you begin the experiment by watering the plants with a measured amount of water within each separate container.  One with 70ml, another 50ml and another 30ml.  You can see the germination rate and growth rate of the plant varies depending on the water each plant is using.

The only thing you have to worry about is the sunlight each plant is exposed to , which can be also included in the Agricultural experiment.  You can relate this to a farm like situation,  where farmers clear the fields before planting their seeds so that each plant will receive the same amount of sunlight.  Farmers mostly all plants on the farmland with amount of water so that all plants will be around the same growth before harvest.,,,Well you can use this idea,, this is just from my experiences growing plants in my backyard.
