I have to know Mariah Carey's "hero" for voice class.?

This song is so emotional and it's hard to memorize. What does the song mean and is there a good way to memorize?

The song is about when everyone around is falling and has lost hope, kinda like now with the economy, a saviour, a hero will come along with the strength to carry on. A song and message of hope, survivors of strength.

It seems difficult but it is actually easy. Memorise it slowly line by line. I memorised by listening thrice or four times. Just sing with emotion and feel the song's meaning.
