It depends on how long you will be out there for.

i mean if you are going to be back late next year, then yes i would celebrate xmas with her now, but if you're back early next year, then its up to you. it would probably be better to celebrate it now, because yoou probs don't know when you will see her again, and it could be nearly next Christmas.

I would talk to her about it.

See what she thinks.

if she wants to celebrate now then do so, but if she wants to wait until you get back, then i would take her somewhere special, just before you go to Iraq, to spend time with her. I know i don't know her, but im sure she would appreciate quality time with you.

I would break out some decorations and go to town
