I really sink at interveiws. There is no experience reqiured for the job, but I really don't know what to say when the typical interview questions are asked like...

what makes you want to work with autistic kids?

what do you think makes you qualified for the postion?

I usaually get my words jumbled up so I need to prepare a little...

  1. You need to have patience and the ability to handle stressful situations. Working with children with Autism CAN BE stressful at times.


  2. Helping special education children requires 5 basic things--1-REALLY like to work with children. 2. PATIENCE- 3. PERSISTENCE. 4. HONESTY. 5. And above all a willingness to follow instructions from the teacher in charge of the classroom. If you have those things, they will come out in the interview, no matter how awkward you think you might be. Good luck, people like you are really needed!!

  3. Well, you've already asked yourself the questions, what were your answers?    

    Rehearse those, and try to be yourself.  You can say that you get nervous during interviews, just be honest.
