  1. ..to handle the preschool age is very hard,as a teacher we always need to be resourceful in every day we enter the classroom..i suggest that maybe just teach them the songs, teach them how to pray before eating & after eating & also in sleeping...provide some papers and colors, pencils and they may draw their families..

  2. For groundhogs day I made a groundhog in a cup.  I just used a paper cup and a popsicle stick and a small ground hog.  I slit a hole in the bottom of the cup large enough for the popsicle stick to fit through and be able to slide up and down.  Then the kids can decorate the cup by coloring grass with green crayon on the cup or use green sticky tape and cut out grass shapes and stick them to the outside of the cup.  Then they glued the groundhog to the popsicle stick and stuck the other end of the stick through the hole in the bottom of the cup.  Which they could then push the stick up and down which created a ground hog poking his head out of the ground.  Otherwise search google and type in craft ideas for preschoolers I always come up with a lot of fun activities.

  3. Look under the section of Children's Crafts -

    http://www.craft-kits.net/craft-projects...

    They should do the trick!

    Goodluck.

  4. Right now, you probably want a winter craft - you can glue a cut out tree on a blue piece of construction paper and then dip empty spools of thread in white paint and that's the snow.  Or you can mix glue and shaving cream together for a fluffy snowman - add scarf, eyes from chocolate chips, buttons, whatever you want to embellish it.  Play doh is always a hit.  good luck!

  5. Depends on the age of your preschoolers. The older they are the more they can do on their own. Something I like to do on our first day back to school after the New Year is to

make hats or crowns. For ones who can cut their own out of paper. You can give them hats to trace or an idea and let it be open ended as to the shape and decorating. You could give others paper plate or bowls to make a hat and have them hole punch for strings to tie onto their head. This can be done for any preschool age, younger ones could glue odds and ends on them or color or paint them. An open ended project like this will show much creative ideas from the children. You will be there to help them with the idea not to do the project for them or to have theirs looks just like yours. We then get our shakers and other musical instruments and march around saying Happy New Year.

Also for ideas you might check the Internet for preschool projects. I find many ideas that way.

  6. Here are a couple of good sites with simple and fun crafts:

  7. i have a class like that! How about a a humpty dumpty puzzle made out of paper. You cut out the pieces and then have them organize it. Only like three or four pieces. And then they could glue it to a piece of construction paper, so they can take it home and show there mom and dad.

  8. you can make slipper out of an ice-cream spoon.

    Decorate it with ribbons &tars.

    it is fun

  9. You should teach them how to make a turkey.

    1. Trace hand

    2. Draw face

    3. Color

    Hope this helps!

  10. You might use dry beans, dry pasta or any food that is dry and works for arts and crafts.

  11. I love to do this project  with my preschool class

give them a large sheet of white paper and have them cut a shape (circular would be best) next give them a medium pc of white paper and have them cut another shape then the same thing with a small pc of white.  They glue them end to end to make a snownman.  I then give them orange paper to cut a nose an d black paper for the eyes.  You need to really push the idea that there is NO WRONG SHAPE! No matter what they do these turn out soooooool cute!

  12. Paper plates are a wonderful resource for this age range - you can make all sorts with them! How about paper plate masks? You can paint them, use tissue paper, stick on shapes - have a theme, clowns, animals or aliens perhaps and let their imaginations loose! you can either attatch sticks to hold the masks or punch holes at the sides and use yarn to tie the masks on - have fun!!!
