For school, i have to make a necklace, that could have been made back when the first aborigines lived in australia. It has to be made from materials that the people had in australia back then, BEFORE the european settles arrived...

Any ideas, on how i can make it?

I was thinking about finding some grasses that i can twist to make the "chain"... and somehow attatch like gum nuts or something?

Thankyou in advance.

  1. Clay or pasta or paper.

Maybe beads made from the bones of animals, like ivory that's been carved.

Shells of nuts that have been intricately carved.

Many of these methods are still applied today.

  2. hmmm...maybe shells??

    or tie flowers together

  3. You can make a clover necklace.  Just put a slit in the stem, put the tip of the second clover in the slit and gently pull until the leaves are by the slit.  Continue until it's as long as you want, then bend the final stem into a check mark shape, put that part of it around the base of the first clover and use a long piece of grass to tie the bent part of the clover to itself. (You may have to roll the grass or fold it in half to accomplish this.)  Good luck in your endeavor.
