Does anyone know what a reference sheet looks like, I really want to make a good impression on this lady, this is such a nice house and I need it for my kids' sake. If you can give a good example of what one looks like plz email me at [e-mail]

All you do is hand her a sheet of paper with your reference info listed:

Jane Smith

123 Main St

Anytown, USA  99999

John Doe

I am a Landlady, and what I usually ask for is a list of 3 or more names, it could be friends or family members,  their address, phone number, relationship to tenant and how long they have known you. This numbers are kept on file for future emergencies, as well as to see what they say about you.

AW is correct, this is not a big deal.

You should add the persons title, if they have one, how long you have know them and your relationship to them.   "Previous Supervisor", "Church Pastor", etc.

A reference sheet doesn't have to be fancy...

I would head a paper with References centered

Then I would have three columns - the first column listing NAME, the second column listing RELATIONSHIP and the third column listing CONTACT or PHONE NUMBER.

I would include your current boss at the top, any type of former boss or other boss at your job second, any type of college professor if possible, then if you don't have too many it never hurts to add a best friend of many years at the end.

There is no "reference sheet". You write down 3 people on a white piece of paper.  She calls them.  Takes each of you 5 minutes.  Then you get the keys.  You will be moving in to your new house.
