The box requires me to have a U6 or G4 type meter but I don't know what I have. All I can see is an R5 on the front but the meter is small enough to fit in the box. Please help ?

  1. Without knowing why your meter has to be re-located, isn't this an issue more relative to your service provider?

    Just my two "sense"

  2. I presume you have domestic house, the u6 & g4 meters are for this purpose. The r5 is just a variant of a u6 meter. If it will fit in the box no problem, the connections on the meter are standard size. Hope this helps.

  3. You need to take this up with the supplier in the first instance, who will proably put you on to the metering company. Mine has been replaced about every four years for no very good reason. Your proposal will involve alteration to the pipework which is propbably on the supply side so you need to talk to them (if you can find anyone sensible at their Mumbai or wherever call centre).
