  1. out back, shotty to tha dome

  2. Bring it to another vet or to your local shelter.  It should not cost more than $30-$50 to do this.

  3. Try the Cat Angel Network.  http://www.catangel.org/

They could probably help you somehow.  Or I think the SPCA also will put your pet down for you, for a small fee.

I'm sorry your cat must be put down.  Very sad, but she is a very old cat.

Also Banfield Vets at Petsmart are sometimes a little cheaper.

  4. i don't know if that is the price given, but it should not be that much to put down your cat. i would reccomend calling several different vet offices to get the cheapest price. i'm sorry to hear about your cat!

  5. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Its a horrible loss but you have to do whats right for your baby.

Why would it cost $200 plus? The shot they use is normally about $20.

You need to call another vet. Some will come to your house.

I had to put my old dogs down with in 6 months of each other and I thought I'd have to get the same shot. I am sorry for your pain.

  6. I am so very sorry to hear that you have to go through this.  My best friend had to put his dog down after 18 years, and it was the hardest thing that he had to do but certainly for the best.

I would call a couple of local vets just to ask if they can help you.  But I am sure that you could take her to the Humane Society.  Their job is to help animals.  I would explain to them that you simply do not have the means to care for her in this condition any more and that she is in pain.  Ask them if they will put her down for you and you will pay for the cost of the drug and you will help them walk some dogs or help them in some way.

  7. I cannot believe all of the inhumane answers. If you have a regular vet, they most times euthanize for nothing, or near nothing. I just had my 16 yr old euthanized on Monday. He did not charge. I would call your vet and explain your situation. If that doesn't work out your local Humane Society should be able to help you if you explain your problem. Please do it the humane way, and you will not regret it. It is very peaceful. Why would any one with a love of animals want to SHOOT their pet????????????????????   Good luck.It will give you a very peaceful feeling, knowing that your precious friend will no longer be suffering, because it gave me that feeling, although I miss him so very much.

  8. well if u love the cat and you dont want to see it in so much pain. either call family to help with the bill or give it to the spca or aspca. but dont put it down yourself. because you will only fell sad about killing it. even if people tell you that you did the right thing. it will eat away at you. so just take it to spca or aspca

  9. I guess it depends on where you live. Maybe the local humane society can help.

  10. Well, first of all i feel very sorry for you i hate to see animals die :[ But, if you know of a doctor or vet that can help you. Or if you go to a shelter or the place you bought it from, itf you bought it, it might do it for free. Or, you can just let it die by itself , or put sumthing in its food and bury it in you back yard and your memories with your cat will live on forever. <3

  11. kill the cat urself and save money

  12. i am so sorry..... you must be devastated.  hopefully any vet with half a heart would do this for you no charge.  most vets actually care about animals and if they are suffering they should do what's right.  good luck to you.

  13. 20 years is very old for a cat, and it's time has come. Try the SPCA and ask them for help or advice. It's a sad thing to go through, but really, she lived a very long life for a cat. As sick as she is...do it now.

  14. My friends dog was poisoned by a neigbor and he found him near death so he walked his dog back to his dad's ranch and they dug a hole, put the dog in there and spent the last five minutes with him, then they shot him to end his suffering. Believe me, he didnt want to do it, he LOVED that dog more than he liked people! He was crushed but I think he to solis that he put him down himself. Maybe you should just do it yourself you know?

There are things in life that we dont want to do, doesnt mean we got to like it but its gotta be done. :(

I am sorry you are losing your cat..

  15. what disese is it? i had to put my dog down cuz it got parvo disese. but next time i wouldnt buy it from the humane society. and the humane society put it down for free

  16. im so sorry that happened to ur cat... same thing happen to my moms cat...read that article down there

  17. Man my cat had the same thing going on at the age of 22 but I'd just look in the yellow book or google it.  I'm sure you'll find something.

  18. As brutal as it may seem, will be just as quick and human to actually shoot the cat. The gun needs to be powerful enough to kill it instantly.

  19. U have not said what region you are in, silly!

I have not known an animal euthanasia to cost $200.

Most GOOD vets would allow u to pay of the fee, so long as you make some type of payment on the day.

Else wise may i suggest the animal welfare league in your area as a starting point.

  20. The pound.....

The cat sounds like it is really suffering, do not wait...

    I am sorry,

    Jenn
