  1. You will enjoy Twelfth Night -- it is great Shakespeare.

As far as the other books, they are all relatively easy to read, but as far as length -- The Three Musketeers is very long, The Hobbit is moderately long, but a fast read -- but be wear of a lot of details. I'd say Hobbit or Three Musketeers is the easiest to read -- they are action / fantasy adventure, but the Caged Bird is short, and well worth the read.

    Enjoy!

  2. the hobbit is a good one, and if u like fantasy it would be the best choice, most ppl can't understand shakespeare even if its in a movie lol,

burn my heart at wounded knee is probly a historical native story.

and 3 musketeers is an adventure/heroic fiction story about team work set in medevilish times.

i know why the caged bird sings sounds like a drama.

the rest i could guess but likly be wrong

  3. The Hobbit. ^__^  You'll love it!

  4. I loved All Quiet on the Western Front, it's pretty short too. The Hobbit is probably the easiest though, not really sure though as i haven't read all of those books.

  5. You've got a really great list before you, and it all depends on your taste.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings has a very easy-to-read style, and it's a powerful narrative. It's very emotional, though, and I know people who've found it depressing. Personally, I think it's inspiring.

The Hobbit was originally written for children, so again it can be quite easy to read, but it was written in an older style with omnipresent narrator. Because of that, some people find it dry or hard-to-follow. I think it's very entertaining and whimsical, and if you liked the Lord of the Rings movies, you'll recognize some characters in the Hobbit.

The Three Musketeers rounds out my top three from that list. It's an adventure novel with lots of action and fun characters. The language can be a bit archaic at times, and the sentences are long, but the plot is easy to follow and the action drives the story. Dumas is one of my favorite French authors.

As a side note, the Twelfth Night is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. It sounds like you're going to be reading a great group of books in this class. Have fun and happy reading.

  6. Twelfth Night!  I love twelfth night.  It's a really great play.  If you've seen "She's the Man" it's a bit like that.  I don't think you should worry about easy so much as enjoyable.  The Three Musketeers is great, but it's complicated and you have to think to understand it (I was in the play, and for the longest time I had no idea what the plot was or who the characters were).  The Hobbit is amazing too, but really it depends on what you like.  Maya Angelou is a fabulous author and poet, J.R.R. Tolkien is of the fantasy category, Dumas is a historical fiction/romace/swordfight/epic battle/thing.
