  1. 4 weeks is way more time than you need to run 5km.  Just walk it, you can do it in like 2 hours.  5km is only like 2.5 miles.  You really need to get some lessons on the metric system.

  2. You can totally run 3 miles in 4 weeks of training. I am sure you can find some training plans on line. If not just start slow. Run a mile a few times the first week. Then build up to 2 the next and then 3. By the time it's race day you will be used to running 3 miles. 4 weeks isn't ideal amount of training time but I am sure, especially if you are reasonably fit already, you will be able to do it. Good luck!!!

  3. lol, i assume you mean, you are running the race in 4 weeks time... still, its not that far, just practice running say 500m one day, 750 two days after, and so on, til you feel comfortable..

otherwise just run about 150m a day :p

  4. I would suggest working yourself into running. Start by running as long as you can without worrying about distance...time it and then gradually work your way up. Typically a thirty min. run for a beginner will be around a 5k. I also recommend after doing this to do some interval training. Sprint for 800 meters...then rest or jog and sprint another. Do this about 8 times keeping the rest limited in between. This will help you increase your speed sometimes it evens helps people to run 5ks if they break them down into shorter distances. Most importantly take a rest day every so often and remain hydrainted.

  5. Just practice at your local park when you can...3 miles really isn't that much...if you are fit you should do no more than 22min..easy....you got 4 weeks to train start with 1 mile for the first couple of times you practice. Then go to 2 miles for a week then hit 3 miles or plus the rest of the way...Make it hurt every now and then....If you don't feel pain..then you ain't trying my friend.

  6. follow this plan

    it really works

  7. haha to the person that said "5k is only like 2.5miles you really need to get lessons on the metric system"..

A 5k is 3.1 i run them all the time..The same person siad it sohul take you 2 hours..thats stupid too walking it sohuld take you about 45minutes.

To get ready for it  do jogging for 5 minutes then walk for 2 over and over for aobut 3miles to get use to running.. Then once you are ready start jogging aobut 4 miles.. The day before the race do 1 or to miles easy and stretch good.. Good luck
