I have to run a mile in gym tomorrow with my class im a great natural born runner. im only 12 and in the beggining of the year, i ran 7:05 and i got better but im still nervous any tips?

  1. Well, you know that dry cold feeling inside your throat and mouth from breathing too heavily? What I do to avoid that is to have my tongue touch the top of the inside of my mouth. So that it's slightly blocking the passage way between the air coming in and out. This way, the air you breathe out will go against your tongue, and won't make your mouth dry.

    And, you probably know this but run with your heel striking the ground first. It will give you maximum power, with minimum effort. You should only go toe first when your sprinting the last few metres. Good luck, hope any of this helps =)

    DONT go out fast with everyone else on the 1st lap!

    try to maintain a steady pace

    dont die on the 3rd lap...its the hardest

    really kick it in on the final lap
