  1. I'm not that surprised. I saw an interview with Ferrer yesterday and although he didn't say so,he really looked tired and his voice sounded tired. Not that it's an excuse, but I think he was exhausted from playing two gruelling 5 set matches . Monfils played his cards right( as someone answered me on my question) and made a tired player run around a lot.

Congratulations to him! Today he was the best man! I bet the RG crowd was thrilled to finally have a French player they can rally around.

  2. yeah i am. Im shocked Ferrer went out. Cakewalk for roger now to the final lol

  3. monfils is good.  plus, growing up in france playing on these courts helps.  hes young, fast, quick and can hit with power.  youll see alot more of him in the future.

  4. no no not at all... monfils is younger and stronger.. rightfully so he should have won...

no monfills will choke with fedex.. too much presence fedex has

  5. Monfils is somewhat of a drama king.  He is the male version of Jelena.  I thought he was going to fall apart early in the match but then he just turn things around.  I do not think he is ready to beat Federer yet but he is a very talented guy.  He is very skinny and tall and so tends to get injured easily because of his style of play so it should be a good match though.

  6. Yes I am a little shocked when a top seed leaves beaten by an unseeded player. Monfils hasn't really produced anything special recently in other tournaments, but he's doing well here and the French crowds are behind him because of course he's French. I'm sure he will do well in the semi's.

  7. No Monfils was a very good player, but he has had a lot of injuries. Just three years ago, he was the #1 junior in the world and won the Junior Australian,  French, and Wimbledon, but then he lost in the U.S. I have been a huge fan of him since the first time that I saw him, which was a couple of years ago. If Federer plays the way he did today in the first set, then Monfils has a great chance, but if he plays the way he did at the end, then I think Federer will win easily.
