  1. Hi there! Oh the stresses of fundraising events! :)

I've been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years....so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost and FUN for your nonprofit's event:

    1) Create buzz around your event by doing something a little off the beaten path...have a Christmas in July theme - or a Patriotic party in the dead of winter! The more your can offer people something they haven't seen or something they haven't done, the better! One successful idea I've seen is having a wine & cheese fundraising event...people get so excited about the snootiness of it!

    2) Consider running an online auction BEFORE your live event- this is an AWESOME way to get to the people who can' make it to your event (or who you wouldn't even invite!) Your email base can feel like they're using their expendable income on great stuff AND its going to a great cause at the same time!

I've included a link of one of the online auction companies that I've worked with...cMarket. They also have another website, BiddingforGood.com, that opens your auction up to all their members so that people who you don't even know can donate to your cause and bid on your items!

    3) Raffles are always great along with an event..why not?? Something interesting to try would be to include one raffle ticket with everyone's registration...that way, they're already invested and will possibly want to buy more! Or, you could have a group of 3-5 people devoted entirely to selling the tickets all night...they're dressed festively and they're basically your "Raffle Train".

    4) One last tid bit - consider selling sponsorships for your event...this can help off set some of your cost INCREDIBLY. You'd be surprised how many local businesses want to be a part of your cause-minded event! You can ask for anywhere around $500 per sponsor, and if you put your auction online, you can ask for even more than that because they'll be getting just that much more exposure through your website and event emails!

  2. ask  any  local restaurants to participate by donating food. Any bussiness peoples to donate money

  3. Ask many  local restaurants to participate by donating food.  Give them a receipt as a tax deduction.  Contact a local band and see if they could give you a discounted rate for their services or ask someone who has a band to play for you without cost.
