yes we want nuclear a very very imp deal for development of India

well let me tell u

1

the nuclear deal with USA (and iaea or whatever it is) will allow Indian scientist to use the latest technologies developed by any scientist in any part of the world

it will initiate the development and setup of new nuclear power plants in India

we would be able to get loans from world bank and other countries as many countries don't want to give us any loan as we already have huge amount of loans pending on us  lend to us by world bank

USA will provide with security updates required by our country like the latest news about the hidden Chinese missile pointed towards India

USA will support India if any nuclear war take place

and defend us from our caring neighbors like Pakistan and china

this deal wold give job to minimum 10000 people all over the country

well everyone knows this that we would have the best available source f energy and all our energy requirements will be fulfilled by 2020 and we would have no power cuts and yeah we would be able to have better infrastructure due to better economy

Hey friend I also  got  the same  topic  for  my college day  debate. I was  like you , aganist  the  motion  &  the motion was  a great failure  becos  of  only one point from my side. I will  tell u the point , everyone was  just telling  that this deal  is  very good  & no harm for our  country   even our political opponents  didnot see this point that  what we will  do with the nuclear  waste. Means the disposals of  nuclear waste from this reactors. Now  we are only having a small number of  reactors  so not much problem of waste disposal. Even  the developed countries like USA  does not  have a safe method for the nuclear waste disposal. Then  how  can we do  this  in our country  where the population  density so high & we are not able  to  find  a place where no body lives  or  a safe place. This n-waste will never decompose like plastic but very very dangerous  than plastic. In many developed countries  they have only limited reactors  becos of this reason  but  they have huge uranium   so  they do business with others  to earn money,  becos  of this only USA  was  very eager  for this deal. This n - waste will not harm  you now  but  the future generation will suffer. We  have  many  other safe option   for  energy  security  like  wind mill, solar etc , anyway  we have  to spent  huge amount  for  n-fuel  then  why  can,t  we  spent that money for this  safe  option. Now  you may  know the  other points  like  the political,  but  this is very important  point  and  a hide truth  behind the  deal that  nobody  has highlighted.     good  bye  &  a Best Of Luck.     actually  i have no time  now  becos  i am  a medical  student  but  if  you  want  avthing  more cantact me  i have more points.
