  1. If you have powerpoint software could you do a montage of her life with some  photos superimposed over say a field of flowers and if you are not happy giving an actual speech then you could just type meaningful words at the top of bottom of the picture.  eg: a picture of mum in her teens with a caption "a teenage beauty".  a picture of her with you as a baby "the perfect mother".

You could just let your imagine run riot and she would really enjoy seeing photos of herself and the fact that you have put so much effect into her party.

  2. You have said it all here. Now, as a teen I assume you're computer savvy......so you find some really beautiful nature scenes (sunsets, waterfalls, forest at autumn) and superimpose some of your favorite snapshots of her into them and attach some of the metaphors as if she's the one talking. Maybe even get one of the olympic symbol and a pic with her as prom queen or something. Just let your imagination run with it gurl!

  3. When I found out that I had to make this speech I found an agent who could get in touch with the word's most glamorous women so that at long last my mother could join the firmament of the stars. My idea was a necklace where she would be the chief diadem. Harry, the agent, called around, got Kirsten Dunst on the phone, and asked her, as a special favor--he also offered $2 million--to be here, but when she heard that my mother was going to be present too, she couldn't stand the competition, so we had to nix her. Then after that we tried Angelina Jolie. She was hard to reach, in France. She considered the idea, but became very evasive when she heard why Dunst had said no.

In the next three weeks, we ran through a roster of Hollywood, everyone from Eva Longoria to Beyonce, and Paris Hilton to Kate Olsen, Reese Witherspoon to Drew Barrymore. Only Phyllis Diller said that she would come, but I don't think _I_ could stand that. We had no shortage of male applicants, including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon (he's getting kind of heavy, though), George Clooney, and the Jonas Brothers--but we are not trying to set my mother up: we're trying to set her off.

So there she is, a rose in a field yarrow, a dahlia in a field of clover, Botticelli's inspiration and despair, the original for Helen of Troy, Eve, Juliet, Cleopatra, Ishtar, Daisy Buchanan, and the girl in the car in _American Grafitti._ Fall upon the thorns of life, ye proud, and bleed!

  4. As no one here knows your mum how can we possibly do that.

  5. that speech has too come from your heart. do exactly what you worte in your additionals details

  6. just make it heartfelt. but not cheezy. we don't know her, but you do, so use your knowledge!

  7. tell it from the heart, be honest thats all you need to do belive she wouldent of asked u if she dint belive in u x
