  1. no study dr william bates and his work and you can keep your eyes.

  2. No. There is absoloutly no way you can damage your eyesight if you sit near the computer for too long. The worst possible thing that can happen is a little bit of temporary dry eye if you keep staring at the computer, since when we use the computer we blink a lot less. I suggest that every 30 minutes or so, you look away from the computer and blink for about 20 seconds.

You can look it up in google and if you're still uncondifent, check with your optometrist, and I promise he'll assure you nothing can happen :)

  3. Hi,

If your employer follows Health and Safety guidelines and regulations, then the risk of you needing glasses in future is minimised.

There is no evidence to suggest correct use of display screen equipment (DSE) will cause eye problems, other than perhaps strain. Use the equipment properly, sit the right distance away from the screen, use anti-glare filters if needed, and take regular breaks.

In the UK, your employer has a mandatory duty to assess your workspace and use of computer equipment. Make sure they follow this and you're doing as much as you can to help yourself.

    I hope that helps.

    Jim
