“I have to win at least one more race”, says Webber
The 34-year-old veteran driver from the Red Bull team Mark Webber says that he has to win one of the last three races to grasp the glorious title of world championship. Currently, Webber is leading the standings table, and he seems very concerned about his
future races.
Webber finished the previous race at Suzuka of Japan Grand Prix at the second spot, as his teammate Sebastian Vettel took the lead at the final moments of the race, whereas the Spanish super star driver Fernando Alonso finished at the third spot.
Currently Webber is fourteen points ahead of Vettel and Alonso in the champion standings table but it is very important for him to maintain the lead as the season is about to end and all the top five drivers are trying their level best to clutch each and
every chance of grabbing some precious points.
Webber has not won a race from the four previous races and according to him the current pattern of finishing the race at second or third spot should stop, as it is now important for him to win at least one race out of the final three remaining races. He
said that the current championship is now at the final stages and all the drivers are giving their best, and it is now very important for him to snatch at least one victory to maintain his overall lead. He added that he is very confident about his performance
and quite hopeful of winning this year’s world title.
On the other hand, the drivers from the McLaren racing team Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button are facing all the hard luck of the season. Hamilton is still struggling to improve his performance as he has not been able to complete three of his races. The point’s
gap between McLaren team’s drivers and the other top three drivers has increased to an extent that it will now take the McLaren drivers to win at least two races out of the remaining three races to catch Webber.
Currently the British top racer Lewis Hamilton is twenty eight points adrift of the leader Mark Webber. It is also to be notified that Hamilton finished his race at Suzuka on the fifth spot, which according to the critics was not at all a satisfactory performance
from the 25-year-old. However, Hamilton’s teammate Jenson Button is three points adrift of Hamilton.
This current season is probably the best season for the 34-year-old Australian as he has been able to maintain his lead until the end, and he is now only three races away from the glorious trophy of world championship. When questioned about his performance,
the Australian racer said that so far he is very happy with everything and hoping for the best. He added that the situation and performance of a driver might vary because we cannot predict the result of the next race but all we can do is keep our nerves and
give our best. The Australian continued that he is very happy with his position.
When Webber was asked about the performance of Hamilton the 34-year-old said that ups and downs are a part of the game. Hamilton has got all the abilities to win a race and he is probably going through a crucial phase of his career just like Fernando Alonso.
Fernando Alonso has won two races out of the last three Formula 1 races and is confident to shorten the point’s gap. Alonso expressed his views that it is still possible for him to win the world championship title as he is just fourteen points adrift of
Webber and there are three more races to go.
The Korean Grand Prix race is going to be very thrilling because it will decide the standings of the team McLaren’s drivers. Webber needs at least one more win to keep the leadership under his control.
