Indian culture is polytheistic, and it can be seen in sculpture, architecture, painting etc... Islamic culture in India is monotheistic and forbids the reproduction of human face, and it has its consequences in decoration, mosaics, etc... See Taj Mahal, an Islamic monument, and compare it to a Hindu temple.
