First off, I'm a senior in high school and I'm on the yearbook staff. To get a feel of our writing style and skills, our teacher wants us to write about the first week of school and how it's different than any other year.
Now I absolutely love to write. I love turning a mundane subject into something beautiful and interesting to read just by the use of words. I love constructing a paper, sentence by sentence and then having it all flow together and sound amazing. I love using language that we don't use in everyday life, but still gets the point across.
The problem is, I haven't had the opportunity to write anything since like mid last year. My skills are rusty right now and I don't want to turn in a mediocre paper. I want it to be absolutely amazing.
I'm having trouble making a clear point about WHY this year is different for me. I'm a senior so obviously there's a lot of maturing and more responsibility for me, but what are some points I can make that will keep the paper flowing nicely and end with a concrete conclusion?
It only has to be a couple paragraphs but any ideas? I can talk about the growth I've had since freshman year, responsibilities of being an upperclassmen, how my perspective has changed, etc. So you get what I mean.
