I have to write about Achilles?

i have to write a 2 page paper over Achilles from the first book of the illad..

3 character traits and show and tell why

Just from the first book?  That's only  fifteen or twenty pages.  Read the book and his personality will be pretty apparent.  (hint: the first book is called the Rage of Achilles)

The greatest epic in the history of mankind and you can't muster the will to read the opening pages?  What is the matter with you?

Funny enough, Achilles isn't even in most of the Iliad.  If you've read it and are still confused, here are a couple hints:

1) He's an angry person.  The first word of the book is 'rage', and it applies to Achilles being pissed off at Agamemnon for taking his prize.

2) He's a selfish person.  He's the greatest hero on the Greek's side, and their greatest chance for success, and he withdraws from the fight over an insult.  Because of his refusal to fight, many Greeks die (including his best friend, and others that he knew), and the battle is almost lost.

3) He's childish.  See above.  When he didn't get his way, he threw a fit, and did the equivalent of sitting in a corner and pouting.

Not the whole paper for you, but a starting point.  You could probably argue other traits, but those should be pretty easy to find evidence for.
