Is there a natural or home remedy to keep bugs and pests off of my tomatoes? I only have one plant and i think it's getting too much water and shade because it will not produce but the plant itself is looking really good. There are also nibble marks on the leaves. I would rather not used chems because my weiner dogs eats everything.

  1. water with some dish soap, wont kill plants birds, dogs, only pests, adn wont hurt dog or birds if contact with the soap,, also can use cinnamon, or talc, different detterants,, i know cayenne pepper keeps squirrels at bay, and wont come if they are eating them,, for slugs or worms, use a small butter lid or coffe lid, and pour beer in it, slugs go in and dont come out,, shouldnt harm dog or birds , very small amouts used,, they drown and everyone is happy , and no harsh chemicals to spoil the environment.

  2. Plant fresh basil next to the plant.  Also if you live near deer,  Hang a few bars of Irish Spring bath soap in old panty hose near-by.
