  1. go on to the tom tom website, register your details, go on to the speed camera section and look for the free down load bit, sorry i cant be more help its a while since i put mine on so i cant remember in detail. it was quite complicated but it did it in the end! dont forget to plug your tom tom into ur pc. good luck!

  2. Yep, I agree with dino. The easiest and cheapest method is to stick to the speed limits. All problems solved :-)

  3. Why not just stick to the speed limits?

  4. safety camera warnings are all fine and good till you drive in a multi camera'ed area like commercial road in London, there's a speed camera every 800 yards, the tom tom spends so much time warning you of the cameras, you actually lose the direction side of the unit, if you are going to drive regularly in big cities then l advise you to buy a road angel or something you could use for the speed camera warning side of your journey

  5. I have an 18mnth old NAVMAN, it has all speed camera warnings already built in. There was nothing to download, no extra charges etc, it has lots of other built in free extras and it only cost £140 then, is even cheaper now. I have found it totally reliable, TOMTOM is overhyped in my opinion. Sorry I cannot advise you on your Q, but my opinion is that this facility should come as standard, hopefully someone else can advise. Failing that, contact the company and ask why they advertise their product as the best, yet fail to include as standard what "lesser" products do. It should not be left to you, as the customer to find help, that is their job.

  6. Just use any Torrent site and get the free up to date ones.

  7. Have a look at

    http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/subscripti...

Costs £19 for a year's membership, and you can download as many camera updates as you like.

OK, so it's not free - but if it saves you just one fine..........

  8. Why pay £100+ for something that costs about £10. Invest in a decent road atlas, the majority of which have the locations of speed cameras printed on them.  Oh  sorry, I forgot that women cannot read maps !! TRUE!. I bet you are one of those who put the sat nav on for a trip to the shops!! If everyone who has a sat nav stuck on the windscreen were to stop and think, they would realise that they have created a " blind spot " in their field of vision, which can be large enough to "hide" a child behind they would remove them immediately, but I forgot, most drivers are selfish!

  9. There are none that are free unless it is brand new, you will have to go to the site and pay for them if the unit is used or has been registered already, sorry.
