  1. sell it.....lol

  2. head start programs and church programs for children and nursery and kindergarden school teachers all would be greatful for your yarn as would senior centers and nursing homes...don't just throw it away..even the salvation army would come and pick it up!

  3. If you still enjoy yarn in general try crocheting.  Crochet goes so much quicker than knitting.  It is an exciting time for yarn crafts especially crochet.  There are more books and magazines devoted and featuring crochet designs not to mention web sites.

Check out http://marthastewart.com/  In the search box type in yarn crafts. Many options will come up.  Recently on her show she feature wool wrapped bangle bracelets.  They turned out pretty neat.  I've wrapped yarn around a soup can to make pencil holders.  I have loads of yarn,  i crochet for charities.   They are not concerned with color.  It does make me feel good to give back.:)

  4. You may want to donate the yarn to a Hospital. They give it

to Volunteers who knit Hats for Premature Babies and

Women and Children in Chemotherapy. Mo. Baptist Hospital

    is one of them.

  5. right now i have the same problem, so what i do is make sweaters and simply make stripes of different colors to use up the small amounts of yarn left. another way to get rid of alot of the yarn and double or triple strand (hold 2 or 3 strand of yarn together and knit them like it was one strand and make blankets, hats, shawls, anything else you can think of.

dont let the thought of one projects you can only use one color stop you, be creative and use many different colors in your work.

  6. i would sell it or krochat

  7. I make what I call wall weavings....take that plastic with holes in it and cover it in one color. Then make rows with hanging threads along with thin ribbons and let the rows them overlap in different lengths. I made one I call blue grotto with blues and greens and purples. One I put loops of white at the top for clouds, then

blue and down to green then brown.

  8. If it's really stuff you don't have an interest in using, Senior Centers can usually use donations of yarns for their crafts.  Also nursing homes might appreciate the donation.  When we moved, I gave 2 trash bags of yarn to the senior center and they were thrilled to get it.

Otherwise, you could start making granny squares.  :-)

  9. Myra from Fancy Image yarns does a really fun thing with

attaching yarns of different types, colors and even weight

just by knotting them together to make a continuous ball of

yarn.  Knits up fun for young children's sweaters, hats,

vests, etc.   She also sells wonderful kits for these items.

    Even baby socks.

They are really fun to knit up as you never get tired of the yarn.

    Hope this helps.
