  1. If you buy draperies with pleats at the top, then you use drapery pins to connect the drapery to the traversing slides.  You can get pins at JCPenney and Wal-mart.

  2. A traverse rod is usually for draperies. You would need to buy special "clips" that go in each pleat of the drapery so you can hang it on the rod. I don't know of a way to hang blinds on a traverse rod. I would guess there IS no way.
