I have tried 3 times to unsubscribe to a Yahoo group, but the emails keep coming. What can I do?

Word of warning - I am a true cat lover, but I would steer anyone clear of one Yahoo group in particular "Whole Cat Health". That bunch sends a crapload of emails from multiple users every single day, and apparently it is impossible to unsubscribe.

I hadn't signed on for a couple of weeks, and this morning there were 1,395 emails awaiting me...98% of those from the cat group on topics I needed to know NOTHING about. Wading through all that mess to get to the few emails I truly wanted to read was extremely annoying.

If clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email AND sending emails to the group to unsubscribe me are unsuccessful, then are there any other options available to me, short of deleting my email address and starting all over again?

I have enough keepers on file that I really don't want to do that....help!

Here is how you can Unsubscribe from a Yahoo Group:

1.Try to unsubscribe through:

2. If this doesn't work out, send an e-mail to the group owner telling him/her to stop mailing you. ([e-mail])

If these still didn't work for you try the following options:

3. Block the address(es) or arrange your preferences so that they are sent to your bulk/spam folder.

You can try sending an e-mail to the group's unsubscribe address by sending an e-mail to the address that will look something like this: [e-mail]

If that doesn't work I would recommend getting in touch with the owner of the group to let them know that you have tried to get off their list but can't and need help with leaving the list.  The address for the owner of the group will look something like this: [e-mail]
