When I attempted to join a local Yahoo group I tried to input my real first and last name to create a Yahoo profile, but I was barred from doing so. The group is Dr. Who Columbus. What do I do in order to join this group?

I assume you have tried to set up a Yahoo ID with your exact name, like johndoe. That name might be taken. You can set up the yahoo ID with some other similar ID but you need to put your real name into the information page for the account. Does that make sense?
