I have troubles going prone during an airsoft war.?

well ive been airsofting for acouple years and finaly got a powerful gun, an m1a1 tompson ww2. and i cant go prone is it me or the shape of the gun? cause our cover is kinda short we have to and laying with that 2.7' gun and akward shaped stock any suggestions?

Turn it upside down or turn the fake mag out to the right and put the buttstock in your elbow/upper arm
