Question:

I have two cockateils, a mother and her son. The female still lays eggs. Is it safe to let them breed?

The female keeps laying eggs. However she does not sit on them. I didn't know if I should let them hatch.

  3. NO WAY!!!

    thats called inbreeding, it can lead to mutation and very sick babies, i dont think they mated because females just lay eggs, there not fertile, but they just do.

    i suggest put the son in a seperate cage or sell him, and buy a male, or you can keep all 3 in there if its a big cage.
