I have two cousins from the Philippines that want to move to the US. Both have college educations.

I asked a similar question earlier and someone mentioned processing their petition. Does anyone know what exactley this means?

  1. I'm not sure you can bring a cousin here. There's a 10-20 year backlog of Filipinos wanting to come here. And that's brothers and sisters...

    You'll have to contact the INS.But don't get your hopes up.I think it has to be closer blood relation.


  2. My only opinion for this is:  If they work for a company who's willing to petition them to work in the US...Other than that i have no other information for you, lots of luck though

  3. You can't petition your cousins...only immediate family.

  4. your cousins can be petitioned only if:

    - their parents are green card holders or US Citizens

    - their brothers/sister who are US Citizens

    - they can find an employer that can sponsor their work visa

    - get married to a US Citizen

  5. tell your cousins to go mexico,and from there try to cross the border illegally.that the easiest and fastest way to come here,if they can get a tourist visa.
