  1. You should not run subs together of 2 differ ohm loads.

You are correct, it is way underpowering them. Thing is tho, you don't even need that second sub. The Kicker zx300.1 pushes the 300 watts at 2 ohms. Just run the one 4 ohm sub at 2 ohms.........     and give what I'm about to say some thought............

The sound that can be produced w/ one sub can be quite impressive. Yes, you create more `movement` w/ more subs, but not by much.

You have to follow ohms - your amp puts out it's most watts at 2 ohms. You have a sub that can take advantage of that - you don't need that other sub. If these CVR's are 12's, they are rated 400 RMS. That zx300 could really do something w/ that, especially in the correct enclosure.

Money does not grow on trees.. so work w/ what you have, until you have the money! Keep your eye on a bigger enclosure. One that fits the maximum CVR specs. Possibly even slightly bigger. Go for vented to get that biggest Bang w/ less wattage. You may not have a money tree, but you have an ~almost useless~ dual 2 ohm CVR. Find someone to trade you a box for the box you are using now plus the 2 ohm CVR.

The proper box is equally essential as many other things in your stereo. Work w/ what you have - Kicker CVR dual 4 ohm wired to 2 ohms on that zx300.1... and a better enclosure!

  2. no it should be fine
