Places that have you give an email account do it as a security measure. They want what they consider a "real" email account. One that comes with your service. Not one that anyone can create and throw away and create another one.

Therefore sbcglobal works, and yahoo doesnt.

I also have a sandisk sansa connect and LOVE it.  I am not sure why you are having a problem connecting- and since you have a sbcglobal account I think that you should connect with that account...I am going to direct you to a few sites that may help with this problem -OK?  

try putting in your FULL id  

   {[e-mail]} {password}

Yahoo has a group that you can join and maybe by asking a question there- someone else will see your question.

AND SBCGLOBAL  would be the "paid" account for the extra channels right? YMU - I am "assuming" here
