  1. how can they hide in that small tank. Why do u put goldfish in something this small.  And they are not happy!!!!

  2. 2 goldfish need a minimum of a 30 gallon tank so they are miserable in your tiny tank.  If they are common's they will grow to a foot long and fancies get to be about 8" but that is only if kept properly.  Keeping them in small spaces leads to stunting and organ failure.

They are also huge waste producers and your tank is probably full of ammonia.  A small tank will not cycle so it needs to be cleaned every 3 days which is very stressful for the fish.

  3. You need to upgrade their tank to at least a 20 gallon (30+ gallons is actually ideal). Fancy Goldfish grow up to a foot long, and require a 20+ gallon tank with a filter. Common goldfish grow up to a foot and a half long and require a 55+ gallon tank. Check out these pictures: http://cellar.org/2002/recordgoldfish.jp...

The general rule for stocking Fancy Goldfish is 20 gallons for 1, then 10 gallons for every additional one.

Common Goldfish stocking rule is simple: Get a large pond.

You don't really know if it's a healthy tank. Test the water for ammonia and nitrites. Chances are you didn't cycle the tank first. Cycling means establishing the beneficial bacteria so they'll "eat" the ammonia and nitrites that can be harmful to your fish.
