  1. Is this a personal articles policy?    That premim does sound reasonable but if your looking for a lower premium than raise the deductible to say $5000 or $10,000.

  2. Most jewelry floaters run between $0.80 per $100 of coverage and $1.80 or more per $100 of coverage depending on the state & company.  You won't get the $0.80 in a city!!  You are paying $1.10 per $100 so that sounds reasonable to me.  Do you keep your pieces in a bank safety deposit box?  If so, you may qualify for an in vault discount.  But, remember, you will need to call the insurance BEFORE you take the piece out for any reason & have them change the policy to the standard rate, otherwise, there would be NO coverage.  They will also likely limit the number of times per year or policy term the items can be removed from the vault.

Normally the best rate you can get would be to add the jewelry to your homeowners or tenants policy as scheduled items.

  3. Who is the carrier???

what line of insurance is it???
