I serviced them last season. They want 200 for each pwc to service. I heard before every season it should be service. Is that true?

  1. Yes and if you live in the states with winters it is real goo to get then service also they will last longer.  Treat them just like your car and you will have them in good shape for years to come.  They are a blast on the water so keep them in good shape.

  2. Go with Mark on this one...

There's no oil to change or fluids to top off! :)

What are they doing for $200 each?

All you gotta do is lube them and go if winterized properly...

you could change the spark plugs also, but that is all stuff that you can do yourself in 15 minutes and save yourself $400!

  3. Yes, it is absolutely true.  If  you want them to work well, they need the servicing every season.

  4. No. I also have a 2000 XL-800. I winterize it properly and in the spring put the battery in and go. I always lube it thru the season and it has never been to a dealer. It looks brand new and runs the same! Look at the receipt and see what they are charging you for.
